Proper Sandos

Brand Identity | Merchandise | Collateral

Proper Sandos is a Japanese sando pop-up at Austin Proper Hotel by twin chefs Haru and Gohei Kishi, centered around Japanese milk bread sandwiches shaped by their Japanese and French backgrounds. It is bringing a more playful personality into Austin Proper's luxury setting.

The identity was designed to feel approachable and full of character while still fitting naturally within the Proper experience.

Inspired by Japanese indigo tones and the texture of traditional woodblock printing, the logo and illustrations create a simple, modern visual language with a subtle Japanese sensibility that carries across menus, signage, merchandise and other restaurant touchpoints.
